Ingredients

blackberries, limes, mint, peaches, and ginger beer for making a peach moscow mule

This recipe uses:

  • Ginger Beer
  • Peaches – fresh or frozen will work great
  • Blackberries – fresh or frozen work here
  • Mint – yep, fresh or frozen
  • Lime
  • Ice

For using frozen ingredients, check out our post on how to freeze peaches, how to freeze blackberries, and how to freeze mint.

How to Make a Ginger Beer Mocktail

*I’ll walk you through it here with some photos and tips, and you’ll also find a printable recipe card at the bottom of the post with exact measurements, etc. You can also click “jump to recipe” to skip down.

Start with a few slices of peach in the bottom of a copper mug or a wide glass. Mush up some of the peaches with a fork or a wooden spoon. You can also chop the peaches before adding them to the mug.

Add the ice and then pour the ginger beer over the top. Pro tip: do a slow pour to keep the carbonation from bubbling over the rim of the mug.

Squeeze fresh lime into the mug, top with blackberries, and add a sprig of mint to the top of the Moscow mule mocktail.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you get non-alcoholic ginger beer?

Despite the name “beer” in the title, ginger beer is a non-alcoholic beverage.

Can I make this mocktail for more than one person?

Absolutely! You can adjust the “servings” option in the printable recipe card below, and the ingredients will automatically adjust.

If you’re making it for two or more people, it might be easier to chop the peaches or blend them in a food processor, rather than muddling them in each mug.

Can I make this recipe ahead of time?

Yes! However, I recommend prepping the peaches and lime juice ahead of time and then adding the ginger beer just before serving. This will prevent the carbonation in the ginger beer from going flat.

Pro Tips/Recipe Notes

  • If using frozen peaches for this drink, heat peaches for a minute in the microwave or let them thaw before mushing.
  • If you prefer the peaches to not be in chunks, you can either blend them quickly in a food processor or blender. OR use canned peach nectar which can be found online or in the juice aisle of most grocery stores.
  • Try adding some Blackberry Simple Syrup, Peach Syrup, Jalapeño Simple Syrup, or Strawberry Syrup for a fun variation.
  • No ginger beer? Try ginger ale instead.
  • To make a boozy version, add 1.5 oz of vodka with the ginger beer.

  1. Mocktail is a best way to beat the summer heat. Thank you very much, Sarah, for the recipe of Ginger beer mocktail. The recipe is simple to understand and can be prepared in less than 5 minutes. Please keep sharing such useful information.5 stars

  2. How did I miss this? It’s 2:30 in the morning and I’ve once again been visited by the insomnia fairy. This sounds amazing and I have everything but the peaches, otherwise I’d be in the kitchen right now. Bundaburg is good, but I also enjoy Cock and Bull Ginger beer, but that could be because I’m really a 12 year old boy and it makes me giggle every time. Thanks for this recipe. Cheers!!

    1. Uuuuuugh, I hate the insomnia fairy. She’s such a punk ass!

I do however, LOVE Cock and Bull ginger beer for the same reasons you mentioned. And urban legend has it that it is the original ginger beer used in the first mule ever created! I just can’t find it anywhere and Bundaburg is available at Costco.

  3. There are plenty of non-alcoholic ginger beers (I find most are) as well if someone wants a mocktail with a more ginger-y punch!5 stars

    1. The Hansens ginger ale I used is extremely gingery; nothing like traditional ginger ale. I drank it while pregnant and barfy, and it’s super strong. If you have a Trader Joes near you, they sell it in single cans. It’s great to try and I highly recommend it!
